Professional Parking Management (PPM) is the company contracted by the private property owner to collect proceeds for and administer fees for the parking garage, lot, or facility. PPM is the original creditor, whose address is 1314 Las Olas Blvd., Ste. 406, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33301. CLICK HERE to visit PPM’s primary website.
We understand that it’s frustrating when technology doesn’t meet your needs. The facility provided ways to pay, including calling the company directly. If you were unable to pay using the designated method, you were required to find a different parking location (as provided in the facility signage). It is the responsibility of the motorist to pay for their parking fees.
Overstays are common. Time is needed to not only park and remit payment, but also to exit the facility within a time reasonable to the period paid for. Overstay fees are added beyond such periods, per the facility usage agreement and signage. Overstays are not calculated at the same rate as pre-paid parking (as posted) and are discouraged. Thresholds for overstay periods are set by the property owner, reasonable, and based on the period prior to payment and the period after the prepaid parking has expired.
Connecting your payment to both the facility you choose to park in and to the specific vehicle you parked is critical to avoiding follow-up actions and fees. Issues often arise when payment is made through another app or kiosk that is not affiliated with the facility you parked in. Issues may also occur when someone pays with the correct machine or system but enters the incorrect vehicle license plate number. It is our desire to help you resolve such issues. The challenge comes when we are unable to achieve the above requirements. Credit Card and Bank Statements submitted after-the-fact normally don’t include all essential details.
As provided in the blue Parking Contract, prominently displayed at the facility entrance(s), the facility was used for its intended purpose. Utilizing the private property parking facility includes parking, staying, standing, waiting, delivering, picking up, etc., in any form. The appropriate fees must be paid regardless of whether a person is in the car or not and whether the vehicle is running or not.
Each facility where PPM provides parking enforcement is “Pay for Use”. No free parking is available.
NOTE: Some facilities operate under parking contracts established with designated residential and commercial communities and facilities. Such agreements operate with specific utilization requirements which, when not fully complied with, require “Pay for Use”.
Individuals with disabilities and/ or mobility limitations are welcome to park in the facilities where PPM provides parking enforcement services. Most facilities have designated Disabled Parking areas to offer additional assistance and convenience. Regardless, all parking is “Pay for Use”.
As a privately owned parking facility, “Fines” or “Citations” are not issued. Parking Charges may stem from Parking Rates not paid in advance, Expired Time (a.k.a. Overstays), or Failure to Comply with the Rules of the Facility. Signs that clearly outline the fees and obligations are prominently posted for driver awareness prior to parking and establishing a Parking Contract.
Parking Charges are assessed in lieu of booting or towing the vehicle at a much higher expense. Parking payments made in arrears are more expensive than payments made at the time of use.
The initial Parking Notice of Non-Compliance (NNC) issued by Professional Parking Management (PPM) was for the full amount due. At that time, the opportunity to resolve the charge at a reduced rate was provided when paid within 15 days.
